About TUKSoD: Mission and Goals of The Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry
The mission of The Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry is to promote oral health through the education of diverse general and specialty dentists with advanced skills who provide comprehensive, patient-centered, evidence-based care, and engage in research, scholarly activities and community service.
The Kornberg School of Dentistry is a center for excellence in clinical dental education, patient care, and community-based service and research.
The goals of the School of Dentistry are to:
- The School will recruit, admit and graduate a broadly diverse student population in terms of gender, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status and academic background.
- Our dental students and dentists in postdoctoral programs will have advanced skills to provide comprehensive, patient-centered and evidence-based care.
- Our faculty and students engage in research and scholarly activities to develop new knowledge and use the best available scientific evidence in education and patient care.
- TUKSoD dental students receive diverse experiences through outreach to community-based clinics.
- TUKSoD clinics are community-focused in order to provide dental care for more patients in underserved populations.
