Schools offering CTE programs continually search for competent teachers. The Temple Center assists in the planning and delivery of recruitment sessions.

Opportunities for substitute and adult education teaching positions may also be discussed. Once certified, a CTE teacher is encouraged to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Advice is available throughout this process. A BS degree may culminate in professional benefits and financial gains.
Statutory requirements for individuals who wish to become career and technical teachers include the following:
Persons who meet the statutory requirements are eligible to enroll in the CTE Certification Program to complete college requirements for an Intern Teaching Certificate. This enables them to teach in a public school CTE area. Additional coursework at the college level is required for the Vocational Instructional Level I and Vocational Instructional Level II certificates.
