Assistance to schools in the development and dissemination of curriculum

The Center serves as a clearinghouse for information and services for the Commonwealths MAVCC membership in the 17 counties of the eastern region. As a MAVCC member state, Pennsylvania career and technical educators are eligible to receive a 50% discount on single copy purchases and a 64% discount on orders of 6 or more copies of the same item. To find out more, visit their web site at mavcc.org to review of their product inventory. By having a representative on the MAVCC Board of Directors, Pennsylvania has the opportunity to help establish priorities and influence curricular related decisions.

MAVCC has a rich history of producing high quality award winning occupationally-specific, competency- based curriculum materials for more than 25 years. MAVCC was formerly known as the Mid-America Curriculum Consortium, and prior to that, was the Instructional Materials Center at Stillwater, Oklahoma. The MAVCC inventory includes more than 200 products that have been sold in all 50 states and 41 foreign countries.

Further, the Center provides annual curriculum and program planning workshops in the spring to update career and technical educators on new MAVCCS products, products that are under development, products under revision, and related curricular information. The Center, will upon request and the availability of resources, provide assistance to career and technical education institutions seeking solutions to curricular related matters.
