Universal Audenried will have three Career and Technical Education openings for the 2013-2014 school year. Universal Audenried, located at 3301 Tasker Street, Philadelphia, PA 19145, offers PA Department of Education Approved CTE programs to students in grades 10 to 12.

Candidates must have the appropriate PDE Vocational certification or the ability to enroll in a PDE approved certification program, and will have successfully completed the appropriate Occupational Competency Assessment. In addition to the minimum PDE certification requirements; candidates should possess relevant industry certifications and minimum of 3 years of experience in the field in which the person is applying.

Diesel Mechanics Instructor Full-time position beginning the 2013-2014 school year. ASE certification, postsecondary education, and teaching experience preferred. Must have three years documented work experience with a working knowledge of diesel engines, brakes, suspension and steering, electrical/electronic systems, preventative maintenance inspection. Must possess or be eligible for a Pennsylvania teaching certificate. Will be required to obtain PA teacher certification and all necessary clearances.

Health Science Technology Instructor Full-time position beginning the 2013-2014 school year. Applicant shall be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing, currently licensed as an RN in PA and have at least 3 years’ experience as a professional nurse to include working in a physician’s office, medical office hospital, and/or clinic. Must possess or be eligible for a Pennsylvania teaching certificate. Will be required to obtain PA teacher certification and all necessary clearances.

Electrical Trades Instructor Full-time position beginning in 2013-2014. Minimum of three years experience in electrical trades required, along with a desire to teach students in grades 10-12. Completion of an approved apprenticeship is preferred. Will be required to obtain PA teacher certification and all necessary clearances.

The York County School of Technology has an immediate opening for a high school Culinary Arts Teacher to instruct students in grades 9-12 in various aspects of culinary arts, complying with state and industry standards. Areas of instruction may include, but are not limited to, food preparation, menu planning, nutrition, food resources, culinary skills, culinary culture and history, equipment and supplies, inventory, quality controls, costs and pricing, safety, and sanitation.

Prospective candidates should possess PA Vocational certification in Quantity foods or be willing to complete required college coursework and testing to obtain full certification. Formal culinary arts education and/or graduation from a culinary arts program is strongly preferred.
