RIGHT COLUMN TITLE
The Temple Center welcomes you to the 22nd annual academy for FCS educators. This year’s theme is devoted to technology and child development. The quickly changing pace of technology and our students’ fascination with it demands that FCS teachers stay current in this arena. The child development content will be relevant for both high school and middle school students, as PA state standards require that FCS instruction be delivered at both levels.
Monday (8/3/09) and Tuesday (8/4/09) technology sessions will be held at Lehigh Carbon Community College in Schnecksville. The primary presenter for these two days is Joanne Kinsey, Family & Community Health Sciences Educator for Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Atlantic & Ocean Counties. The Bureau of Career and Technical Education has provided funding to make it possible for one participant at these sessions to receive a RealCare Baby Simulator. Click the application form below.
On Wednesday (8/5/09), the Academy will move to the Learning Center on Temple’s Ambler campus, where the focus will be child development. The Thursday (8/6/09) educational excursion will be hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia.
We look forward to seeing you in August.
