3+4 - Accelerated BA and MD
Program Overview
Medical Scholar Students with CST majors are eligible to apply for the accelerated seven year program to get a BA in CST and an MD at TU’s School of Medicine. All Medical Scholar CST majors are eligible, but Biology majors are also allowed to count certain of their first year Medical School courses as electives in their major. Applicants to the 3 + 4 accelerated program must register with the Office of Pre-Professional Health Studies preferably during their first semester but no later than the spring of their freshman year. Students apply to Temple’s School of Medicine during their junior year.

Bachelor of Arts - B.A. and Doctor of Medicine - MD
Careers
This program is designed for those planning to work in medicine, but completion of the CST major also enables individuals to enter careers in a variety of areas, depending on the major.
Curriculum
The B.A. portion of the program is the same as the regular CST B.A. with the exception that Biology majors are also allowed to count certain of their first year Medical School courses as electives in their major.
