(Career development and Mentoring program at the New York Academy of Sciences)
Dr. Conlan organizes a variety of programs at the New York Academy of Sciences to enhance the career development of the members of Science Alliance, focusing on skill development and career exploration. Recent programs include; Understanding the Publishing Sector, Research Support for Early Career Scientists, and Hunting the Job. These events are in held conjunction with our member institutions and later published on our web site, www.nyas.org/sa. The goal of Science Alliance is to provide students and post docs with the resources they need, both through career development and scientific advancement, to become scientific leaders.
Post-graduate careers workshop:
Discuss job hunting basics and explore finding the job of your dreams, from understanding your personal career path, developing your CV and/or resume, to making the connections to get the job. (coffee and cookies on us)

Undergraduate career Forum:
Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?? Scientists have a plethora of career choices; join us to explore academic, industry and non-traditional career paths. Followed by informal question session over snacks and refreshments.
