In just a few meetings spread out over two semesters, CST alumni can have a big impact on a student’s education and career. Mentors helps students think about what they want to achieve in life, set goals and map out strategies for achieving their dreams. CST graduates have worked hard to earn their success; now you can share what you have learned with the next generation!
A CST Alumni Mentor is a guide and resource, someone who shares his or her professional experience with a current CST student. Statistics have shown that a mentoring experience has increased job prospects for new graduates, helping them land a more fulfilling and lucrative “first job” experience.
The Owl to Owl Alumni/Student Mentoring Program is structured around four mandatory meetings over the course of two semesters. Mentors and students will be matched by criteria that will be mutually beneficial to both participants.
For mentoring to be successful there must be a reciprocal, comfortable relationship between mentor and mentee. Both parties must work at the relationship by being open-minded, respectful and keeping to the expectations they have set. Ideally, the mentoring relationship will be mutually beneficial for both the mentee and mentor.
