The mission of CSPCD's Professional Development and Continuing Education Unit is to enhance the effectiveness of individuals, organizations, and communities through development of high quality social work training services. The mission is implemented by enhancing the competence of professional social workers and others involved in human services including community residents, Temple students, and volunteers.
DHS Training Program: In response to changes in governmental policies, departmental expectations, and socio-political climate, CSPCD offers all levels of staff from DHS including, provider agencies, child advocate groups and other social agencies, a diverse selection of training options for over 15 years.
Educational Services Program - AI Center: Since 1988, CSPCD has provided academic assessments, career/educational mentoring, counseling and academic supports services to thousands of youth through the Philadelphia Adolescent Initiative Project and the Philadelphia Achieving Independence Center.
