Introducing Google Apps

Your TU Gmail account provides you with a number of useful programs called Google Apps. These programs can be a
great benefit to you in completing your coursework and collaborating with classmates on group projects.

Note: Google Docs, Sites, and Instant Text Messaging are available to Exchange Users.

The following Google Apps are available in your TU Gmail account:*

Google Docs Google Docs Logo

Google Docs enables you to create and store word processing documents, spreadsheets, forms, and presentations. Google Docs are stored in a central location and can be accessed anywhere using a web browser. You can share these documents with your classmates and work on them together online. Even if you created documents using Microsoft Office, you can store them online through Google Docs.

Google Calendar  Google Calander Logo

Google Calendar is a powerful, easy-to-use calendar that you use for keeping track of your schedule. You can receive e-mail reminders about upcoming events and even share your calendar with your friends.

Google Sites  Google Sites Logo

With Google Sites, you can create feature-rich web sites in a snap. You can share ownership of your site, so others can help to build and maintain it.

Google Talk  Google Talk Logo

Google Talk lets you communicate in real-time with your friends or family via text chat or voice and video chat.
