Google Apps


Your TU Gmail account includes Google Apps* which can be very useful for completing your coursework and collaborating on group projects. Google Apps includes communication and collaboration tools such as Docs, Calendar, Talk–Video Chat, and Sites.

Note: Google Docs, Sites, and Instant Text Messaging are also available to Exchange Users.

Docs Google Docs logo

Google Docs enables you to create and store word processing documents, spreadsheets, forms, and presentations. Google Docs are stored in a central location and can be accessed with a web browser. You can share these documents with your classmates and work on them together online. Even if you created documents using Microsoft Office, you can store them online through Google Docs.

Calendar Google Calendar logo

Google Calendar is a powerful, easy-to-use calendar that you use to keep track of your schedule, receive e-mail reminders about upcoming events, and share your calendar.

Talk—Video ChatGoogle Talk logo

Google Talk lets you communicate in real-time with your friends or family via text chat or voice and video chat.

Sites Google Sites logo

With Google Sites, you can create feature-rich websites in a snap. You can also share ownership of your site to allow others to help build and maintain it.
