Connecting

1. Click Start > Connect To.

2. Under Select a network to connect to, click Wifi4Owls. Then click Connect. Vista3

3. If notified that wifi4owls is an unsecured network, click Connect Anyway.

4. When notified that you have successfully connected to wifi4owls, click Close.


5. Open a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.

You will be automatically redirected to the wifi4owls login screen. Enter your AccessNet username and TUsecure password. Then click Log In. At this point, you are now connected to the wifi4owls network.


Troubleshoooting

If your browser is configured for Temple's proxy server, you will be unable to access web sites on the wifi4owls network.

For instructions on disabling your Temple proxy settings:

1. Go to www.temple.edu/proxy.

2. Click the link for your particular web browser and scroll to the section on disabling the proxy server.


Disconnecting

Primary Method

1. To disconnect from the wifi4owls network, locate the bluesocket window and click Click to Logout. Blue Socket Logout Screen

Note: The bluesocket window may not always appear. One reason for this is that your browser is using a popup blocker. If you do not see the bluesocket window, refer to the Alternate Method below to disconnect from the wifi4owls wireless network.

Alternate Method

Perform the following steps to disconnect from the wifi4owls wireless network:

1. Click Start > Connect To. Vista Disconnect1

2. Click WiFi4Owls so it is highlighted. Then click Disconnect. Vista Disconnect2

3. When prompted are you sure, click Disconnect again. Visa Disconnect3

4. Click Close. Vista Disconnect4
