Note: Before setting up TUsecure wireless, verify that your laptop displays an active wireless connection. If the green connection light does not appear, activate the connection by pressing the appropriate switch or key on your laptop. For detailed instructions, refer to the user guide for your computer.
1. Click Start > Control Panel.
2. Double-click Network and Sharing Center.
3. Click Manage Wireless Networks.
4. Click Add.
5. Click Manually create a network profile.
6. Enter the following information:
a. Network name: tusecurewireless
b. Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
c. Encryption type: AES
d. Select Start this connection automatically
e. Select Connect even if the network is not broadcasting
Then, click Next.
7. Click Change connection settings.
8. Select the Security tab and uncheck "Cache user information..."
9. Click Settings.
10. Make the following changes:
a. Uncheck "Validate server certificate."
b. Select Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2).
c. Click Configure.
11. Uncheck "Automatically use my Windows..." and click OK. Then, click OK on any open windows.
12. Go to the Task Bar at the bottom of the Desktop. Mouse over the connecting icon and click on Additional information is required to connect to tusecurewireless.
13. Enter your AccessNet username and password and then click OK.
14. A message verifying authentication may display.
Disconnecting
1. Right-click the connecting icon at the bottom of the Desktop.
2. Click Network and Sharing Center.
3. Then, under tusecurewireless, click Disconnect.
Reconnecting
1. Right-click the Disconnect icon at the bottom of the Desktop.
2. Click Connect to a network.
3. Select tusecurewireless > Connect.
4. Click Enter/select additional log on information.
5. Enter your AccessNet username and password and then click OK.
6. At the "Successfully connected to tusecurewireless" window, click Close.
