Service Explanations

Service	Definition
Single Line Set	Telephone set that handles only one telephone extension.
Multi-line Set	Telephone set that handles multiple telephone extensions.
Fax/Modem Line	Telephone line installed for the use of a modem or facsimile machine.
Hotline	Telephone extension that rings immediately to a designated extension when taken off the hook.
Alarm Dialer	Component of a security system that when tripped immediately dials a designated extension.
Analog Port	Dedicated space for a single line telephone set on the switchboard.
Digital Port	Dedicated space for a multi-line telephone set on the switchboard.
ITE 12 Set	Multi-line telephone set with 12 programmable buttons.
ITE 30 Set	Multi-line telephone set with 30 programmable buttons.
Intercom	Inter-office station to station paging system via multi-line telephone sets.
Patch Cable	Cabling that runs from a PC to the ethernet jack.
Mbps	Unit of measurement for data transfer. Greater Mbps indicates faster data transfer rate.
