Staying connected and collaborating with classmates just got easier this semester with the Temple launch of Google+ / Google Hangouts and BbSocial.
- Google+ is a social networking service. Google Hangouts is a component of Google+ that allows you to instant message, video chat with up to 10 people at once and share computer screens. Hangouts is available when you log into your Temple Gmail account. A mobile app is also available to download via the iTunes App Store and Google Play. See the Google+ Features page to learn more.
- Through BbSocial, the new social learning tools available in Blackboard, you can create an academic “profile” and “follow” classmates and friends at Temple. Send communication easily via messages and posts, and you can quickly set up “spaces” for collaboration in study groups, clubs, teams, etc. To learn more, view a four minute video clip by Blackboard.
While you’re getting social, make sure you connect with Computer Services on Facebook and Twitter to learn about new products and resources!
All the best for a great semester!
