We've all come to depend on the handy email contact list in TU Gmail or Microsoft Outlook for quickly sending out messages. Below are a few tips for managing your contact list:
- TU Gmail automatically saves the email address of anyone you send a reply to in the Other Contacts list. To see this list, click on the down arrow next to Mail or Gmail towards the top left corner, select Contacts, then Other Contacts. If you would like to shut off this feature, click the gear icon towards the right corner, select Settings, and under the General tab in the Create contacts for auto-complete item, select I'll add contacts myself. Then finally scroll down and click on Save Changes.
- To easily add a sender's email address to your Contacts list, open the message, click on the down arrow next to the Reply icon and select Add sender name to Contacts list. If this option does not appear, it means that the address is already in your Contacts or Other Contacts list.
Microsoft Exchange / Outlook
- To easily add an email address to your Outlook Address Book, open the message and right-click on the sender's email address. Then fill in any additional information and click Save & Close.
