Statistical Software Statistical/Research Services provides support for statistical software by means of consultation, documentation and seminars. Listed below are some of the products that are currently supported. The computer platforms on which they are supported are also specified.BMDP The computer
programs that make up the BMDP system provide flexible and convenient
procedures for data
analysis, ranging from simple data display and description to advanced
multivariate statistical techniques. IMSL IMSL is a comprehensive resource of more than 900 FORTRAN subroutines for applications in general applied mathematics, and for analyzing and presenting statistical data in scientific and business applications. Computer platform: MINITAB MINITAB is a comprehensive, relatively simple-to-use statistics package commonly used for instruction, where students can see results quickly with a minimum of programming. Computer platform: SAS The SAS system is a powerful software package which serves as an excellent tool for data management and statistical analysis. It is capable of generating presentation-quality graphics through the SAS/Graph component. The SAS for Windows version provides additional modules (e.g., exploratory graphics with SAS/Insight, data set use with SAS/ASSIST). Computer platform: SPSS SPSS is another major statistical product which does all types of statistical analysis and data manipulation. The PC and Macintosh versions provides greater flexibility of use than the mainframe version. Computer platform: Stata Stata is a modern command-driven package for statistical analysis, data management and graphics. It is an interactive program, which runs on a variety of platforms. Computer platform: StatXact StatXact is a statistical package for exact nonparametric inference. It provides reliable inferences by exact and Monte Carlo methods when data is sparse, heavily tied, or skewed, and the accuracy of the corresponding large sample theory is in doubt. Computer platform: SURVEY PRO Survey Pro is a computer package which generates a professional-looking questionnaire. It provides response options that are pre-formatted, thus speeding the creation of the survey and standardizing the appearance of individual questions. It also provides preliminary data analysis of the responses and can generate output data files that are read by SAS, SPSS, etc. Computer platform: SYSTAT is a comprehensive statistical package which provides a variety of statistical techniques, accurate results, publication-quality graphics, and flexible data management . Computer platform: TSP Time Series Processor (TSP) is a computer package for the econometric and statistical analysis of time series data via ordinary least squares and two stage least squares. The package can also be used for sales forecasting, financial analysis, cost analysis etc. Computer platform: UNIX
