Get Ready to Connect: Seven Simple Steps

Are you planning to bring a computer to Temple? If so, we want to give you a head start on what you need to know about setting up your computer for high-speed Internet access in the residence halls.

Temple offers Internet and telephone services as amenities, which are included with the price of your room. If you plan to use your Internet connection, see the link below to find out what you can do to prepare your computer before you arrive on campus:

www.temple.edu/cs/residencehalls/getready2006.htm

Note that in order to use the University's telephone service, you must have your own touch-tone telephone. You will also need a prepaid calling card to make off-campus calls.

For an overview of Temple's technology resources, including a summary of the connecting process, please also check out the Technology at Temple Guide.

During the move-in period, Computer Services consultants will be in most residence hall lobbies to assist you with connection-related problems. If you have any further questions, send e-mail to help@temple.edu, call the Help Desk at 215-204-8000, or visit www.temple.edu/cs.

Computer Services looks forward to welcoming you to Temple and meeting your technology needs.
