Connecting to the Internet
Wired Connection
- If you used the Internet last semester and have the same computer and room assignment, your Internet service will continue to work. Just reconnect your computer to the network jack you used last semester. Your telephone and voice mail service should still be active as well.
- If you did not use the Internet last semester, or have a new computer, or have a different room assignment, you will need to go through the Get Connected process, as follows:
- Connect your computer to the network jack closest to your assigned bed.
- Log in to http://getconnected.temple.edu and follow the prompts to request internet service.
- Connect your computer to the network jack closest to your assigned bed.
Wireless Connection
- If you used the TUresnet or TUresnetextra wireless network last semester and have the same computer or device, your Internet service will continue to work. Just reconnect to the TUresnet or TUresnetextra wireless network.
- If you have a Windows or Mac computer and did not use the wireless network last semester or have a different Windows or Mac computer, perform the Get Connected process listed above for a Wired Connection. Then register and connect to the TUsecure or TUsecureextra wireless networks.
- If you have a device other than a Windows or Mac computer and have not yet connected to the TUresnet or TUresnetextra wireless network, see the steps to register and connect. Please note that Computer Services does not support or recommend the setting up of wireless printers at this time.
