Commands for Listserv Managers
The commands on this page are provided to help you manage your Temple listserv discussion group. To issue a command, send it in an e-mail message to listserv@listserv.temple.edu, which is the system that handles Temple's listservs. You must use your e-mail account that identifies you as the listserv owner.

For example, to delete a subscriber from the your listserv, address an e-mail message to listserv@listserv.temple.edu, leave the subject blank (the system ignores it), and type as the text of your message:

del listname subscriber's-e-mail-address pw=password

where listname is the name of your list and password is your listserv manager's password.  For example, if your list is called econ101, the subscriber's e-mail address that you wish to delete is jdoe@aol.com, and your password is manage, you would type as the message: del econ101 jdoe@aol.com pw=manage and send the message.  You will then receive confirmation of your request.

Note: If you don't remember your listserv manager's password, see the pw reset command below.

If you have comments or suggestions for additional commands, please send e-mail.  If you need help with functions not listed below, please call the Help Desk at 215-204-8000 or send e-mail to help@temple.edu.  For full Listserv documentation, see the List Owner's Manual provided online by L-Soft.
