Instructional Support Centers
The Instructional Support Center provides access to computers and a wide range of technology Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, supported by a staff of friendly Certified Instructional Designers and Technology Experts.
The TECH Center ISC also handles booking the Faculty & Staff meeting rooms in the TECH Center (TECH 107 & 111).
Training on current computer topics as well as on the use of Temple Smart Classrooms and videoconferencing facilities is also available.
Blackboard & Online Education
- Access to Blackboard, Temple's primary online course creation, delivery, and management tool
- Assistance putting course material or your entire course on the web
- Assistance creating and delivering online tests and quizzes
- Assistance setting up course discussion groups, listservs, chat rooms,
and online meetings

- High-speed document scanning to PDF or text file
- Flatbed scanning of graphics and other materials
- Slide and negative scanning
- Access to and assistance with digital still cameras
- Assistance manipulating / retouching photographs and negatives
Presentations
- Assistance creating and delivering professional PowerPoint presentation material
- Traditional slide film creation from digital files (does not include film developing/processing)
- High quality color laser printing
- Poster printing on full-size 56" x 32" paper
Audio/Video
- Assistance creating and delivering digital audio and video
- Non-linear video editing workstations with iMovie and FinalCutPro
- DVD creation
- Quicktime Streaming Server & Windows Media Server

Website authoring
- Access to ISC webserver with FrontPage extensions for course-related websites.
- Assistance with the creation of webpages
- Assistance with file management and uploading to ISC, UNIX/Astro, or WWW server (departmental sites only)
- Access to web-authoring software including FrontPage, Dreamweaver, Flash, and ColdFusion (note: the ISC is not able to provide in-depth assitance with programming. Please ask an ISC consultant for more information if you are interested in more advanced web design topics)
- Create and manage web forms and databases for surveys and other information-gathering purposes
