--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How do you want subscription requests to be handled:

  1. The list owner(s) must approve or initiate subscription requests
  2. Anyone can subscribe to the list (without approval)
  3. Only people with a Temple email address can subscribe to the list

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You will be notified by email when the mailing list has been created.

Step 2: Locate your new Listserv web site

Once created, your listserv will have the following URL:

http://listserv.temple.edu/archives/(your list name).html

Helpful Hint:  Include the hyperlink in an e-mail to your students and put a hyperlink to it on your course web site.

Step 3: Learn how to use the web interface

Online Quick Reference Guide
Details use of the new Listserv web interface. A useful hyperlink for your students to begin with as well as yourself (hardcopies available at the Help Desk if necessary):

Helpful Hint:  Include the following hyperlink to the Listserv Quick Reference Guide in an e-mail to your students and put a hyperlink to it on your course web site:

http://cs.temple.edu/listserv/b3u.html

Step 4: Test drive the new Listserv web interface

If you would like to take the Listserv web interface for a test run, you can practice by joining the TEST2-L listserv, a test mailing list. In this way you can practice sending messages without posting them your actual course while you become familiar with the features. Unsubscribe from the list when you are done to avoid unwanted messages.
