I. User Information

Item Description
Average Points/
Assessment

Assessment Average The sum of the scores you've received for each of the automatically graded quizzes divided by the sum of the points possible for each quiz. This average does not include the grades for any non-quiz items for which you've received a grade.

Points Possible The total number of points possible for each assignment.
Weight Reflects the percentage each item is worth towards the total grade.
Class average Represents the average score of everyone in the class, not your personal class average.

III. To calculate your grade for an item
on a scale of 1 to 100:

If the total possible points for an item... then your grade on a scale of
1 to 100 equals...
equals 100 your posted score. For example, a score of 90 out of 100 possible points is 90%.
do not equal 100 (your posted score / the total points possible for the item) x 100.

For example, if an item has 20 possible points, and you received a score of 18, your grade would be equal to:
(18 / 20) x 100 = 90%
