Subject:	System Downtime for OWLnet, TUpay and TUportal

Temple is in the process of replacing its aging student administrative system with a new integrated SunGard Banner infrastructure. Work is now underway to introduce Self Service Banner (SSB), which will handle standard processes such as registration, billing, grades and transcripts.

To prepare for the transition to the new Banner Student System, access to OWLnet, TUpay, TUportal and Kronos will be affected during parts of spring break as outlined below:

TUpay
TUpay will be unavailable starting on Friday, March 4, at 2 p.m. through Thursday, March 10, at 10 a.m. More details on how to access TUpay through TUportal will be released soon.
OWLnet
OWLnet will be unavailable starting on Friday, March 4, at 5 p.m. Beginning Monday, March 7, you will be able to view your class schedules, registration status and grades.

On Thursday, March 10, the Financial Services tab in OWLnet will be available to view account balances and print receipts for spring 2011 and prior semesters. To complete your student loan entrance or exit interviews or electronically complete your Perkins Loan electronic promissory note, go to www.temple.edu/sfs and access the respective tabs.
TUportal Web Site
TUportal will be unavailable starting on Saturday, March 5, at 6 a.m. through Monday, March 7, at 6 a.m. A substitute web page of links will provide access to various student systems, such as Blackboard and TUmail.
Kronos
Kronos will be affected by the downtime starting on Saturday, March 5, at 6 a.m. through Monday, March 7, at 6 a.m. During the outage, punches will continue to be collected at the Kronos clocks in Campus Safety Services and Facilities Management only. Student workers who use clocks in other locations, and student workers who use the Kronos web application to record in- and out-times (time stamp) should follow departmental procedures for manually recording their time during the maintenance period. Timekeepers will enter this time into students’ time cards once the Kronos application is back online.
