As we move into the final implementation stages to our new Banner administrative systems, there will be times over the next several weeks when we need to bring down our current systems for data conversion and migration. This implementation has been planned for many months with the idea of trying to minimize operational disruption. In this regard, please be advised that on Saturday, March 5, from 6 a.m. through Monday, March 7, at 6 a.m., Banner systems and TUportal will be unavailable to prepare for the new Banner Student implementation. The systems that will be impacted during this time are:
- TUportal Web Site
During the implementation time, a substitute web page for TUportal will provide links to various student systems, such as Blackboard and TUmail. See information below on TUpay and OWLnet downtime.
- Kronos
During the implementation period, punches will continue to be collected at Campus Safety and Facilities Management clocks. These punches will be passed to time cards once the Kronos application is back online. Employees who use the Kronos web application to record in- and out-times (time stamp), and all other clock users should follow departmental procedures for manually recording their time during the maintenance period. Timekeepers will have to update time cards with punches collected manually after the maintenance is completed.
- Self-Service Banner (SSB) which includes Banner Finance, Banner Human Resources, and Banner Advancement functions
During the implementation time, access to general employee information such as your pay stub and electronic W2 form will not be available. If you are planning to work on your taxes this weekend, make sure to print your W-2 before the downtime.
- TUmarketplace
- Cognos
- Effort Reporting System (ERS)
- Internet Native Banner (INB)
- Banner Document Management System
- Workflow
TUpay and OWLnet Downtime
TUpay and OWLnet will also be down for a period of time to prepare for the new Banner Student system. For details, see the announcement that was released to students today.
Thank you for your patience during this implementation period. If you have any questions, please contact the Help Desk through the TUhelp web site at tuhelp.temple.edu or call 215-204-8000. |
