Banner HR Launch Date Delayed

Due to the need for more testing, the launch of Banner Human Resources, previously scheduled for January 1, 2010, will be delayed. While the project is close to completion, the implementation team recommended an extension in the testing period for parallel payroll and interfaces to ensure both the accuracy of data and functionality of various processes. Essentially, the team wants to make sure that paychecks are accurate and the processes used for administrative functions are working properly in Banner.

A new implementation date will be announced in early January 2010. Until the launch, please continue using standard procedures, such as updating and viewing information in Employee Self Service, accessing forms in TUportal for payroll functions, and using Ultimus Workflow for terminations.

Unrelated to the Banner HR implementation, please be aware that:

  • the iGreentree system will be brought back online on Tuesday, December 22nd, so that applicants can apply for jobs and administrators can view their applicants.
  • the iGreentree portion for hiring employees, student workers, and adjunct faculty will not be available until Monday, January 4th, when an upgraded iGreentree system will be available for all functions.

In addition, a new interactive New Hire/Reappointment form for hiring faculty, post-docs, and GA/TAs will be available in TUportal on January 4th. In the portal, go to the Staff Tools tab, locate the Employee Forms Channel, and select Payroll to access the form.
