Configuring Pine for TU Gmail

To configure Pine:

1. Log in to your Unix account.

2. Type 4 and then press Enter.

3. At the Unix prompt, type pico .pinerc or vi .pinerc

4. Then then make the changes listed in the following table. When username is indicated, type your AccessNet username.

Notes:

  • Each entry must be on a single line; do not press the Enter or Return key.
  • Pico users: Press Ctrl-W to find each value

5. Then, save the changes and exit from your account. To do this in pico, type Ctrl-X and then type Y; in vi, press the ESC key and then type :x

6. Verify that your password is synchronized with Google.
