EPA - 2009 Environmental Excellence Award
The Computer Recycling Center was one of the winners of the Environmental Achievement Award from the Environmental Protection Agency's mid-Atlantic region. The agency recognized the center for their groundbreaking work and commitment to sustainability. They were recognized on September 16, 2009 at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Intellectual disAbility Services - 2011 Brighter Futures Award
The Computer Recycling Center and Jonathan Latko are recognized for their efforts in providing a real life internship for students of Temple University's Adult Learning Academy. Students with intellectual disAbilities are scheduled to work an internship during their senior. The CRC has consistently accepted two interns from the program each spring for the past 3 years.

Computerworld selected Temple University's Computer Recycling Center as one of 200 recognized programs honored for their "visionary applications of information technology promoting positive social, economic and educational change". Ceremony was held at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. on June 4, 2012.
University Business Magazine's - 2011 Models of Efficiency Award
Temple is one of six colleges and universities nationwide honored as part of University Business magazine's 'Models of Efficiency' program, which recognizes campus programs that increase efficiency through technology and business process improvements.
The honor was given for the Computer Services division's Computer Recycling Center (CRC), which has refurbished nearly 12,000 computers, 11,000 monitors, and 5,800 printers, saving Temple about $300,000 since 2005
