The mission of the Computer Recycling Center is to gather old computer equipment from around the university, refurbish that equipment if possible, redeploy the equipment where appropriate, donate any unwanted usable equipment and lastly arrange for the proper disposal of all unusable equipment and scrap.
To provide the efficient procedure for university departments to have their unused computer and electronic equipment removed from their offices.
To assist university departments that may be financially troubled by offering refurbished electronic equipment to which they might not otherwise have access.
To do our part in aiding the e-waste problem by correctly handling the university’s surplus equipment.
To manage the university’s donation policy as it relates to computers and electronics.
