Get Help in a Smart Classroom

Classroom Technology Support (CTS) provides technical assistance with using equipment installed in classrooms supported by Computer Services at the Main, Ambler, Center City, and Fort Washington campuses. Supported locations and hours are listed on the CTS web page.

CTS provides the following services:

  • Resolves problems in smart classrooms.
    Note: Classroom issues are treated with the highest priority and are responded to immediately.
  • Offers personal consultations on how to use equipment in the classrooms.
  • Maintains equipment installed in classrooms.

Who is entitled to this service?

What are the limitations and restrictions related to this service?

Computer Services does not support all smart classrooms. Dedicated IT support staff in some Schools, Colleges, and Departments may provide smart classroom support. Additional information is available on the Classroom Technology Support web page.

How do I use this service?

Use this service to:

  • Request assistance using equipment in classrooms.
  • Report issues in smart classrooms.
  • Schedule a one-on-one consultation on how to use equipment in classrooms.
  • Request additional equipment be delivered to the classroom.

What is the time frame for fulfillment of service?

Requests for assistance in smart classrooms are treated with the highest priority and are responded to immediately.

When is this service available for use?

Hours of operation are listed on the Classroom Technology Support web page.

What is the cost of this service?

For classes and events scheduled in classrooms supported by Computer Services during regular hours of operation, this service is free. Information about supported locations and hours of operation is available on the Classroom Technology Support web page.

For classes and events scheduled after regular hours of operation, there may be a $35/hour fee as outlined in the After-Hours Events Billing Policy.

How do I request this service?

Press the Help button on the podium touch panel to send alerts via text message, e-mail, and other means directly to support staff. If a phone is in the room, you can also call the number posted by the phone.
