Request an Office Landline Telephone

Two basic types of telephone sets are available:

  • single line
    • one telephone extension rings
    • speaker and display capabilities
    • user guide
  • multi-line
    • multiple lines ring
    • up to thirty buttons are available and programmable with multiple features
    • speaker and display capabilities
    • user guide

Note: Installation and monthly costs vary depending on the telephone set.

The following table identifies the standard software features on single line and multi-line sets.

Feature Action
call hold places caller on hold
call transfer transfers caller to another extension
conference places a conference call with up to three parties.
Note: At least one system user must remain in the conference.
last number redial quickly redials the previously dialed external telephone number
call back allows you to leave a callback message on a busy or unanswered internal line. When the line becomes idle or is activated, the system will automatically call back.

  • All authorized employees and guests of Temple University and Temple University Health System.

  • FOAPAL or Cost Center number
  • Building and room number for the service

What is the time frame for fulfillment of service?

Please plan for a period of 15 business days for your order to be completed. For an additional charge and depending on current work load, each item on an order can be expedited based on two levels of expedited services:

  • 1-3 business days
  • 4-7 business days

When is this service available for use?

Telephone service is available 24 hours a day throughout the year except during periods of system, network, or electrical maintenance.

Requests for set up and repair are fulfilled during normal business hours: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
