Overview
SPSS is a modular, tightly integrated, full-featured product line for the analytical process -planning, data collection, data access and management, analysis, reporting and deployment. Each license provides the Windows user with the SPSS Base, Advanced, Regression modules, and new for 2008 the module Trends will be added to the core Windows "bundle". For MAC users the license provides SPSS Base, Advanced, and Regression modules.
Eligibility
This software is available for Temple University faculty and staff only. Students can purchase this product through Journey Ed.
Terms and Conditions
The SPSS license available through the Software Site License Program is a one-year subscription license for the period beginning January 1, 2008 and ending December 31, 2008.
Pricing and Products
The annual subscription license for the Windows platform, which consists of SPSS Base, Advanced, Regression and Trends modules, is $25.00, and the annual subscription for the Mac platform, which consists of SPSS Base, Advanced and Regression modules, is $35.00. The license is valid for the current calendar year. The cost for the CD-ROM set is $3.50. Faculty and/or staff members may purchase licenses and/or CD-ROMs on an as needed basis. User manuals are now included within the software.
Please specify the version and operating system on your order so the proper license codes are issued.
- For Windows: SPSS versions 14 & 15 are currently available for Windows users. version 16 will be available in January 2008.
- For Mac: SPSS version 13 is available for Mac OS X users. Version 16 for Mac will be available in January 2008.

All add-on modules are also annual term licenses running concurrent to the SPSS Base period. Please note, you must have a valid SPSS Base license to run any of the add-on modules.
Upgrade Options
Licensed users of SPSS are entitled to all upgrades, updates, and downgrades during the current subscription period. Media for future releases will need to be purchased.
How to Order
If your department would like to purchase any software site licensed products, please follow the procedure outlined below. Failure to comply with this procedure could delay the processing of your purchase requisition.
1. Complete a Temple University Workflow Requisition (Ultimus):
- Include deliver to name, full address with room number, and telephone number
- Obtain appropriate approvals for the designated cost center. (Account code for software is 7201)
- Provide complete information in the product description area of the requisition. including product name, CDs (if needed), Operating System, quantities, and prices
- Paper requisitions will not be accepted
2. Complete a Software Site License Agreement. Be sure to enter the requisition number on the license agreement form. After completing the form, sign and either attach as a file to the Ultimus requisition or fax the form to 1-3739 (215-204-3739). The license form link is below.
Work at Home Use
Each end user is entitled to deploy one (1) copy on a home computer for use on Temple related work only. If you leave the Univerisity during the annual license period you must de-install or destroy the copy on your home computer.
