Microsoft Work-At-Home Software Distribution Program

 

 

Microsoft Windows and Office Software (referred hereafter as the “Software”) is made available to eligible Faculty and Staff because Temple University, through its Microsoft Campus Agreement effective June 1, 2007, has purchased the right for you to use the Software for Work-related purposes at home under its Microsoft Campus Agreement.

Eligible:  Current Temple University Faculty/Staff/Administration.

Not Eligible:  Students and business segments whose employees are not charged Technical Fees and/or Employees who do not use computers as part of their regular daily duties. Employees who leave the University must cease using the software and remove the software from their home PC.

Cost:  The software fees associated with the University purchase of a computer cover the cost for the Work at Home software.  There will be no additional cost to you. To determine if you are eligible to receive the Work at Home products, please refer to the above section on Eligibility.

Distribution Points

Computer Business Services is the main distribution point, located at the University Services Building, 1601 N. Broad St, Rm 402 on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am to 1pm.  

Computer Recycling Center, TECH Center, 3rd Floor (by appointment only) - if you are purchasing a recycled PC, notify the Computer Recycling Center prior to picking up your computer which Work at Home product(s) you require. 

Please Note:  The Computer Recycling Center will not automatically distribute software from a PC purchase.  In addition, the purchase of a recycled PC does not increase the number of software copies you may obtain.  If you have already obtained Windows XP Pro, Office Professional 2003 or Office Pro 2004 for Mac from Computer Business Services you may not obtain additional copies from the Computer Recycling Center.

           

Products Available:  Office Enterprise 2007, Office Pro 2004 for Mac and Office 2008 for Mac, Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista Ultimate.

Please note: the Computer Recycling Center can only provide Windows XP Pro, Office Professional 2003 and Office Pro 2004 for Mac and the Software is only available with recycled PC purchases only.

Documents RequiredBring your Temple ID and one (1) completed copy of the Work at Home license agreement:

Verification:  To ensure compliance, the Employee must come in person.

Product Format:  Original Microsoft Work at Home media with individual serial numbers.

Please note, Office Enterprise 2007, Office 2008 for Mac and Windows Vista Ultimate are available in DVD format only, the rest of the products are CD format.

 

Employee Entitlement:  One (1) copy of each available Windows Operating System and one (1) copy of each available Office Suite.  Only one (1) Operating System and Office Suite may be run at a time.

Permitted Use:  Personally owned computer, by Temple Employee only, for work-related purposes.

 

License Term Subscription term ends May 31, 2009.  Enrollment renewal by Temple University would automatically renew Work at Home rights with no action required on the part of the faculty/staff/administration employee.
