Adobe Open Options Contractual License Program 4.5 covers most Adobe
products and allows educational institutions to acquire
software licenses on an ongoing basis over a two-year period. This
contract will expire on August 31, 2009.
Attachmate
Corporation
Attachmate
is a terminal emulation software application that is used
to access information systems on the IBM® mainframe.
This includes the Financial Management System (FMS), Human Resources
System (HRS), Integrated Student Information System (ISIS),
and the Development Office Information System (formerly known
as ADDS).
ESRI
Temple University purchases an annual site license for ESRI ARCVIEW GIS software. This provides access to the latest version of ArcGIS from September 3, 2007 through September 2, 2008. We are currently providing ArcGIS v. 9.2 in full ArcInfo mode plus ArcGIS Workstation.
Microsoft
Corporation
Temple University currently participates in the Microsoft Academic Select 6.1 and Campus 3.4 Agreements.
The Academic Select Agreement is a flexible, volume-based program designed to reduce the total cost of software ownership. Temple University's Academic Select 6.1 contract term is valid from May 1, 2007 through April 30, 2010. Licenses acquired under the Academic Select Agreement are perpetual (no renewal required).
The Microsoft Campus Agreement licenses the Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suites on a subscription basis. Temple University's current agreement runs from June 1, 2007 through May 31, 2010. The Campus Agreement covers all Temple University Faculty & Staff computers as well as all University owned computer labs for the following products:
- Office Enterprise 2007
- Windows XP Professional Upgrades
- Windows Vista Enterprise Upgrades
- Office Professional 2004 and 2008 for Mac
- Windows, Exchange, Sharepoint & SMS Client Access Licenses

Red Hat Linux
Temple University's Computer Services purchases an annual site license for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, which is the leading development platform for open source computing.
The license period runs from May 25th through the following May 24th each year.
SAS
Institute, Incorporated
The
SAS system is a powerful software package that serves as an excellent
tool for data management and statistical analysis. Subscription
licenses for the period April 15, 2008 to April 14, 2009 are available for
Temple University students, faculty and staff.
SPSS,
Incorporated
SPSS
subscription licenses for the Base, Advanced and Regression modules
are available for Temple University faculty and staff. These licenses
are valid from January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008.
Symantec
Corporation
Temple University participates in the Symantec Rewards program. The contractual license program provides perpetual licenses for AntiVirus, security and computer imaging software as well as software maintenance and support. The Program term is June 29, 2007 through June 28, 2009.
Ghost Solution Suite 2.0 is available for Temple University Faculty and Staff only.
Symantec Anti Virus (SAV) for Home use software is available for Students as well as Faculty and Staff for $8.00 at the TECH Center Help Desk and Bursar Offices on all campuses. For details, please visit the Information Security Virus Information page.
