 Overview
Temple University participates in the
Apple Store for Higher Education Institutions
program, to enable discounted software purchases for use by Temple faculty and staff on Temple owned computers, and the
Apple Store for Education
to enable students, faculty and staff to purchase Apple Software for their personal use at discounted prices.
Eligibility
This software is available for purchase by current faculty, staff, administration and currently enrolled students.
Pricing and Products
In addition to a few popular software titles, the recently released Mac Operating System (OS), Snow Leopard, is an upgrade for Leopard users and requires a Mac with an Intel processor.

Upgrade Options
Per Apple's policy, for Temple purchases:
- End users can only upgrade to Snow Leopard from Leopard at the $29 price.
- To upgrade from Tiger to Snow Leopard, the minimum purchase quantity is 10 and the cost per license $59 for 10-99 licenses and $49 for 100+ licenses.
Per Apple's policy, for Personal Purchases:
- Snow Leopard can only be upgraded to from Leopard at the $29 price.
- To upgrade from Tiger to Snow Leopard, you must purchase the Mac Boxed set for $169.
