LASERLIFE™ PROGRAM
What is it?
The Laserlife™ program
combines the benefits of a maintenance contract with the acquisition
of remanufactured toner cartridges as an alternative
method of acquiring maintenance for laser printers. SOMA, Inc. provides
their own quality assured remanufactured cartridges for this
program. Participants in the Laserlife program are guaranteed
the following services when using Laserlife™ toner cartridges:
-
Preventive
maintenance performed on the laser printer each time a cartridge
is installed (This includes a comprehensive cleaning of the
interior and exterior of the printer)
-
Onsite service at no additional cost
-
Full
coverage of most parts and all labor at no additional cost
-
De-installation
of exhausted cartridges and installation of newly remanufactured
cartridges by SOMA, Inc. personnel (must return all used toner
cartridges to
SOMA, Inc.)
-
Complete
testing of all units to insure optimum performance
SOMA, Inc. provides
a satisfaction guarantee on all remanufactured toner
cartridges. Additionally, SOMA, Inc. guarantees the
repair or replacement (at its discretion) of any laser printer
part
that has been damaged due to a faulty cartridge.
How do I enroll in the Laserlife™ Program and what
is the cost?
Enrolling in
the Laserlife™ Program is a quick and easy process. Simply write
a memorandum stating which laser printer(s) you would like to
enroll
in the program. Include the make, model, and serial number of each
printer, and the building and room number where the printer(s)
is
located. Forward the memorandum to Computer Business Services in
Room 402, USB or email hardware@temple.edu.
There are no
startup fees for enrolling in the Laserlife™ Program, however, the
printer(s) must be working properly prior to enrollment. If the
printer needs repair prior to enrollment in the Laserlife™ Program,
a Time and Materials Repair is required.
There are costs
associated with toner cartridges acquired through the Laserlife™ Program. Pricing and availability can be found on our Toner Cartridge Pricing List. Laserlife™ toner
cartridges are slightly more expensive than cartridge only purchases
due to the fact that Laserlife customers also receive preventive
maintenance and repairs at no additional cost.
How will I know that my printer(s) has been enrolled in the Laserlife™ Program?
Once Computer
Business Services has received a memorandum from your department
and all necessary information has been provided, a technician
from
SOMA, Inc. will arrive at your location to "tag"
each printer with a unique ID number and provide you with a number
to call for service.
Please note:
The enrollment period in the Laserlife™ Program is indefinite as
long as you continue to buy Laserlife™ toner cartridges.
How do I request maintenance / toner cartridges
for a printer enrolled in Laserlife™?
Once a printer
has been enrolled in the Laserlife™ program, service can be obtained
by contacting the maintenance provider directly. Contact information
