Reporting and Downloading FOCUS is a tool for extracting data and generating reports from all of the major information systems of the University including HRS, ISIS, ADDS, FMS, and SRIS. In order to access mainframe data through Focus, the appropriate data steward must grant permission. For more information on getting permission to access mainframe data, see the MIS Web page. If you'd like to pose a question about Focus, discuss the ways it is used or obtain training, please e-mail Paul F. Smith. WebFocus allows users to generate comparative, summary, and listing reports using a standard Web browser. WebFocus contains a suite of programs that even those with occasional need for reports will find easy to use. Drop-down lists and forms are used to guide the user through the selection of report parameters. Reports take anywhere between 30 seconds to 15 minutes to process and report output is transferred to a user's PC without the use of additional software. Also, users can elect to have the report transferred to their PC in Excel or other common software application formats. To see a demonstration or to discuss your needs, please get in touch with your primary contact or the WebFocus support staff. SSR Super Send and Receive is a tool used for transferring files between mainframe-based administrative systems and client workstations. Transfers can include file uploads or downloads. It is used in conjunction with Attachmate's Extra! Office Client, versions 6.2 through 6.5. If you'd like to pose a question about SSR, discuss the ways it is used or obtain training, please e-mail the primary contact responsible for your system or department. ViewPrint ViewPrint (M:VP) is a tool used to create downloadable print and transaction files from the Financial Management System. It is available online and in batch. ViewPrint's access has been extended to almost all native Millennium data bases, including full GL and AP transaction archives and external data bases, such as those that comprise Grant Accounting and the Personnel Activity Reporting (PARS) systems. If you'd like to pose a question about M:VP or discuss the ways it is used, please e-mail Paul Amrhein. Report 2 Web is a tool used to distribute reports
anywhere and anytime through a standard Web browser. People receive
their documents at their desktop and view them through a simple browser-based
point-and-click interface. If you'd like to pose a question about Report
2 Web, discuss the ways it is used or obtain training, please e-mail
the primary contact responsible for your system
or department.
