For the past five months I have been issuing a series of
letters updating you on the status of our new e-mail system.
We are now in the final stages.
On May 19th, Temple University will launch
TUmail, Temple's new
dedicated e-mail system sporting a new look, a streamlined
interface, and enhanced features.
To keep you up-to-date on the status of the e-mail
project, Computer Services has included new information in
the following sections of the e-mail system website:
- The Transition phase now includes frequently
asked questions and answers on how the project will affect
your current e-mail activities. This section will be
updated as Computer Services receives additional important
questions from account holders.
- The Migration phase offers a timetable listing
the dates and times when the migration tasks will
take place.
- The Preview phase outlines upcoming e-mail and
calendar features that the new system will offer.
You can review the e-mail system website at:
http://www.temple.edu/cs/emailsystem
This site will serve as an information center for the
TUmail project. Computer Services will update the site
regularly with news, announcements, and instructions both
before and after the migration.
Since the migration period is less than two weeks away,
please
take the time to visit the site to keep informed about this
important Temple project.
We are very excited about this new system, and have been
working very hard to make the implementation as smooth and
painless as possible. If you have any questions or concerns
regarding the migration, the Help Desk staff is available to
assist you by phone at (215) 204-8000 or by e-mail at
help@temple.edu
