John Zilcosky received hi M.A. in fiction in 1992; the title of his thesis was Pairs. After Temple, he went on to earn his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory at the University of Pennsylvania. He is now an Associate Professor of German and Comparative Literature at the University of Toronto. He has published articles on Kafka, Schopenhauer, Paul Auster, and Botho Strauss. His book Kafka's Travels: Exoticism, Colonialism, and the Traffic of Writing was published by Palgrave.
