Kevin Armitage received his M.A. in poetry in 1991. The title of his thesis was Birds and Television. Since graduating, has has earned an M.A. in American Studies and a Ph.D. in American History--both from the University of Kansas. He is now a visiting assistant professor of history at Miami University, where he teaches environmental history and American cultural and intellectual history. He is working on book about the turn of the twentieth century nature study movement, to be published by University Press of Kansas.
