Welcome!

The Temple Graduate Creative Writing Program awards a two-year Master's degree in English-Creative Writing, with a focus in either fiction or poetry. The program encourages writers to find their own voices, their own approaches to contemporary literature and language. Through workshops each semester and private manuscripts tutorials with our resident faculty in the second year, it helps students gain technique and self confidence, as they move into the highly competitive world of submissions to journals and book publishers. Special topics classes in creative writing, as well as graduate seminars in literature are also part of the curriculum.

Workshops are supplemented by a series of readings from visiting writers and week-long writers-in-residence. For more information, please look at our events page.
