C.R.E.A.T.E. is a new collaborative, cross-disciplinary
approach to Commerce, Recreation, Entertainment, Arts and Technology
Entrepreneurship for undergraduates seeking to create and launch
a business during or upon completion of their Temple degree.
The goal of C.R.E.A.T.E.
is to facilitate entrepreneurship in the arts, entertainment, leisure
and other disciplines by offering students an integrated curriculum
supplemented by out of classroom activities.
Formed by Temple's Fox
School of Business and Management and the School of Communications
and Theater with a grant from the Coleman Foundation and USASBE,
C.R.E.A.T.E. provides the opportunity to sample curriculum in areas
such as the arts, entertainment, leisure and other disciplines that
resonate with new business development and enterpreneurship.
Funding for C.R.E.A.T.E. provided by the Coleman
Foundation, Inc. and the U.S. Association for Small Business and
Entrepreneurship (USASBE). Together the organizations help shape
entre-preneurial thinking for the 21st century through conferences
and scholarships. The Coleman Foundation is committed to the principles
of self-determination, self-reliance, self-respect, and individual
initiative through Entrepreneurship Education programs. USASBE is
a comprehensive organization of outstanding researchers, scholars,
teachers, administrators, and public policy makers who are making
an impact on the development of small business and entrepreneurship
and government policy.
