Skills:


Benchwork skills include:
• Fabrication, forging (hot and cold, ferrous and non- ferrous), casting, anodizing, enameling,
production processes, plastics, inlay and various decorative applications, chasing, metalsmithing,
lapidary and machine tool processes.

Computer realted skills include:
• CAD-CAM: Xcad, Autocad r13, AutoDesk Mechanical Desktop, SurfCam. This software is used to
build, surface, render and toolpath three-dimensional objects.
• Web Editing/Authoring: Web Media Publisher Pro, Netscape Gold v3.01
• Word Processing: MicroSoft Word, MocroSoft Works, MicroSoft Publisher
• Audio recording/editing: Cool, Sound Blaster Wave Studio
• Other applications: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere LE, Power Point, Hijak Pro, Lview Pro.

• Instructor, Tool Making. Students learn to make and modify their own specialized tools.
Other responsibilities include Monitoring the computer lab assisting students in CAD, word processing

student tool room monitors.

• Assisted Junior Metalsmithing instructor by providing technical assistance to students during the studio
portion of the course. Fall 1994 - Enrolled in Senior Seminar Spring 1995
• This competitive position enabled a select group of seniors participation in Graduate Seminar in Metals. Undergraduate credit is earned for course work. Additional studio responsibilities entailed, such as monitoring and assisting students and general studio Maintenance.

• Tasks included assisting instructor with class preparation, helping students during class and demonstrations.

metalsmithing.

• Member of a select group of 25 students nationwide to collectively advise SNAG in student related affairs
and discuss student concerns.

• Vice President and student member. C.A.T.S. is an independent, non-profit organization founded and
maintained by Tyler students to promote the crafts at Tyler School of Art.
