Antonio Ezequiel Safdie
Born in 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of 13, I went to an art
high school for specialization in metals. At the age of 19, I graduated and
began my BFA at the Bezalel Art Institute in Jerusalem, Israel. After
finishing one year, I transferred to Tyler School of art in Philadelphia were
I am currently a first semester senior.
From the age of 12, I have been involved in art, more specifically, in metal
works, such as jewelry, metalsmithing and engraving. In my hand works I always
tried to push the limits in terms of design and accuracy on the fabrication of
each piece. In this piece I explored the computer design program as an
essential tool to make pieces that I could not fabricate by hand. This piece
reflects my curiosity for exploring with unlimited desire the intricacy of
designing through the advanced technology of the CAD/CAM software.
