How do I use this database?
Please follow the directions below for directions on using the database. The database requires your computer to have Microsoft Access, which is a standard part of Microsoft Office Suite software on most computers.
Directions:
- Print or save the 9-page document How do I use this database.pdf. This document contains the following sections: a brief overview of the database; instructions for opening it; definitions and descriptions of search and results categories; and three short examples of how to perform a competency search. We strongly recommend that you print the document, but if you do not have access to a printer, you may save it and open it in another browser window.
- Follow the instructions in the above document to open the database Preparedness Competencies.mde.
- Follow the three practice examples in the above document to familiarize yourself with using the database for a variety of purposes.
