Temple University Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Quality of Life Survey Principal: Participants: As part of Temple’s annual Quality of Life Survey, CPREP posed questions to assess baseline conditions of Pennsylvanians’ preparedness, including concerns about natural disasters and terrorism, current preparedness practices, awareness of state resources, preferred communication formats. Additional measures of mental distress will be correlated with key concerns and behaviors; community resiliency will be studied using variables from the core survey. Sample size is 1500 plus an additional 200 to over-sample the rural areas of Pennsylvania. Data will support a variety of proposals for risk communication research, social marketing for preparedness, and mental health service delivery.
