Homeland Security Data Mining Principal: This project involves the development of novel informatics tools capable of analyzing large amounts of data related to homeland security, understanding patterns and discovering associations, regularities and anomalies. The aim is to develop methods for efficient analysis of large-scale time series and spatial data (GIS) collected from various sources. Examples of spatial variables include the spread of an epidemic at a certain point in time or the spatial distribution of health facilities and ambulances on a geographic map. Temporal variables can provide, for example, the spread of a disease over time. Findings:
