Action AIDS This is a volunteer based non-profit organization with the desire to improve the quality of life of people living with AIDS. Opportunities include being a buddy to a person living with HIV/AIDS or working in the office. American Civil Liberties Union American Friends Service Committee
Best Nest Inc. Provides home services and foster care for HIV affected children and their families. The Career Wardrobe
This organization provides professional clothing and training for young women, mostly single mothers in an effort to prepare them for interviews and success in the work force.
CASA Youth Advocates Provides attention for children in the Delaware County Court System to ensure that all children receive safe, secure and permanent placement.
Choice
Family and Community Service Promotes the enhanced functioning of individuals, families and communities through counseling, domestic violence prevention, food distribution, and a variety of other beneficial programs. This organization attempts to empower families and individuals through social, educational and advocacy services. Provides nutritional support by distributing meals/groceries to homes and meal sites. Volunteers help cook as well as distribute food, in addition to spreading AIDS/HIV awareness. These volunteers work in many different areas throughout the clinic. They assist patients in signing papers and support them in visits to the clinic and recovery. Philadelphia Fight Helps people that have been affected by AIDS/HIV. Volunteers help with public relations, special events as well as a number of other activities. Provides services to those living with AIDS as well as testing, counseling, medical and social services. Volunteers help in education, children in need as well as participating in support groups. This organization is dedicated to ending discrimination and injustice against women.
