You've made it! Graduation is right around the corner; but before you march across the stage, you need to do a few things first.
Complete a Graduation Application
Due by February 15, 2013
Schedule an Advising Appointment
Arrange for an official graduation application review with an advisor to ensure all your university course work is completed.
Check the Name on Your Diploma
You will have your diploma for the rest of your life. Make sure it's accurate. If you're having your name legally changed, complete the Request for Change of Name on Record Form with the Office of the Registrar.
Order Your Tickets
Students who want to invite guests to the University Commencement ceremony and to their school/college graduation ceremony must register for their tickets between March 1-30, 2013 using the Tickets page.
Order Your Cap and Gown
Temple graduates are required to wear their school/college's approved cap, gown and hood at commencement and graduation.
You may pre-order your academic regalia online or in-person at the Main Campus Bookstore with cash, check (payable to Temple University Bookstore), Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Pre-orders may be shipped to the bookstore free of charge, or to a home address for a shipping & handling charge of $14.50.
The cost of your full academic regalia is as follows:
- Associates Degree: $36.98 + tax
- Bachelors Degree: $63.98 + tax
- Masters Degree: $69.98 + tax
- Doctoral Degree: $83.98 + tax
Please note: The cap, gown (made of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles) and hood are yours to keep.
For more information, please contact the Main Campus Bookstore at 215-204-4505 or 215-204-5578.
Review Your Student Account
Don't let a library late fee stop you from graduating. Make sure any holds against your university account are removed at least two weeks prior to graduation. This includes financial, library, athletic and exit interview holds.
To find out if your account has any outstanding holds, visit Self-Service Banner (SSB).
Complete Your Exit Interview
Before you graduate, if you've received financial aid, you must complete your Exit Interview.
It's a chance to better understand your student loans and personal finances. You can complete the interview online through TU's Financial Counselor™ Exit Interview or in person by contacting the Bursar's Office.
Order Your Free Yearbook
College is full of memories and firsts. What better way to cherish your time at Temple than a hard cover snapshot? Get your free Templar yearbook by visiting your advising office, or by contacting the Templar staff at 215-204-7299.
