V-Media
V-Media are a team of Leaders Corps members that received in-depth training on video production and media literacy. They have several roles in the UCCP:
- Providing video production peer training and support to participants in VOICES and POWER
- Producing Fee-For-Service promotional videos for partner organizations. Past clients include: Students Run Philly Style, Fox School of Business, Physicians for Social Responsibility.
- Training and supporting youth at partner organizations to create media projects via Project Based Collaborations.
In addition, the V-Media crew is passionate about using their media production skills to counteract overly representation of young people in the mainstream media. They've launched a number of projects including "Feelin' The Cuts" and POPPYN - providing a for youth-by youth perspective on issues that impact young people in Philadelphia.
