STUDENT AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS FOR 2012

Brian Cash and Jasmine Dejackome have been awarded ribbons for their excellent performance on the national College Greek exam.

Drew Rosado has won the Undergraduate Assistant Award from Computer and Information Science.

Sonam Vachhani, Ashley Gilbert, Eamonn Connor, Katie Gussman and Julia Hayward are Classics students elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Faith Garrett has won The Sara M. Halpen Award in the Humanities from CLA and the Nicholas Vlachos Memorial Award from this department.

Anthony Parenti has won the John Means Study Abroad Scholarship from CLA.

Samantha Davidson will spend the summer at an archaeological dig on Cyprus, with full funding from an NSF grant administered by Davidson College.

Matt Watton has won a Diamond Peer Teachership for fall 2012 in Latin 1

Brandon Glackin is the new national Grammateus for Eta Sigma Phi

Ashley Gilbert's Eta Sigma Phi convention presentation on Livy and the Apparatus Criticus
was judged second place and was accepted for presentation at APA 2031 annual meeting, next
January in Seattle.

Eamonn Connor has won a place working in the Agora excavations at the American School at Athens for summer 2012, as well as a Temple University Diamond Research Award for fall 2012

Sonam Vachhani has won a place in Teach For America. She will teach ESLin Atlanta.
